Title: Coleman & Bolasie
Post by: Cozzie on October 30, 2017, 01:05:59 AM
Any news on how these two are getting on and when they might be back?

Granted they both had injuries that means we will probably not see the best of them until next season or in fact ever, I do believe these two will make a massive difference to the team.

I am thinking that Coleman being the professional that he is will hit the ground running, Bolasie maybe not as much but at least both would offer something massively different to what we have right now.

Still a while off, expected returns of December/January looking about right.

Add Barkley to that

Add Barkley to that

Barkley doesn't seem too far off.

All 3 players would walk into the side right now.

Have to be eased back in when the time comes. Won't be able to rely upon them until latter stages of the season.

Full strength

                 Pickford

Coleman Jagielka Keane Baines

          Schneiderlin Gana

        Bolasie Barkley Vlasic

             Calvert-Lewin

Glaringly obvious that a new striker, left back and centre back are needed?

"months" was the line from the press conference on Friday

Barkley "weeks" - and it was nice to hear our fans singing his song today too

I give it a maximum of 15 minutes on his return before someone groans about a backward pass though

100% LB and CB, I do rate Keane but any top CB would struggle with a shite partner as you are basically doing the jobs of 2 people, Baines is finished.

Needs to be addressed with full on ruthless aggression in Jan.

Biggest issue for me there behind the cf is that we paid 45m for a no ten who isn't better than who we had last year and better than rooney.

Really we can't rely that much on Coleman and Bolasie this season. The latter stages of the season will see them getting up to speed. I'm not sure if either of them will feature in the world cup next summer? No idea how their respective countries are doing.

A good pre season for them both and hopefully back to full form and fitness for next season. Unless we have to sell because they both want premiership football of course...

I like the look of this midfield. I think two new defenders for now. Really not feeling keane. Then it would look a solid team

Seamus Coleman doesn't deserve to be involved with this shite.
