Deluded Allardyce wants long-term Everton stay

Everton boss Sam Allardyce says he wants to be a long-term appointment at the club despite the fact that it seems that the amount of fans that support him has dwindled to around 15 people arguing amongst themselves on the internet.

I honestly believe Sam doesn’t quite get the idea that interviews are broadcasted,
He is constantly trying to convince reporters of his worth without the realisation the interview is seen by millions!
Proper nut case!

Im not so sure, you can only go on reports, but didnt one in the Guardian only last week say Moshiri had resistance in the boardroom to his appointment. Plus the first time he turned us down it was said then about Moshiri has been made aware of fan backlash over it.

He doesn't know the club and is based in London. If the rumours that him and Kenwright don't see eye to eye are true then I can well understand him making these decisions in a vacuum.

Has there ever been a manager swap? I feel WBA could use Allardyces experience to save them from the drop,, and we could get Pardew for a few weeks, would love to see how the team would do under Pardew, even tho he is shit.. but his style of football is different to Koemans and Allardyces.

This is a bit of an issue.

We, like most people, want a reasonable guarantee of success.

But we’re not getting anyone from the top 6 teams and then most / all of the ones below are either past it / never been it / or massive gambles.

Therefore you’re left with non PL appointments which are also gambles.

However given the current PL experience options it’s pretty much only possible to want a gamble.

What I think does need to be taken into account is that if someone does a good job for two seasons and then gets sacked in the third doesn’t make that job a failure from the point of future considerations.

Looking for people with a track record of a number of 4/5 year successful stints is going to come up with a short list indeed (Guardiola...).

He’s a smart bastard, he knows that after his smirking at fans displeasure and his substitutions people were saying he’s trying to get the sack and pick up his 6 million before fucking off back to Dubai but if it went to tribunal regarding his pay off the club could possible make a case that he was deliberately forcing the issue through his actions. Hence he comes out now saying oooh I want to stay with this great club forever ! Cunt !

I think that is symptomatic of modern day football. In years gone by when players had to bust a gut to earn a living it was more common to stick with a manager as players didn't down tools so quickly and easily for fear of losing their income.

Today's pampered millionaires quickly lose the motivation to bust a gut for a manager and need a regular change of voice to keep them motivated. There's no shame in changing your manager every few years to keep it fresh as long as their is some continuity from above, Chelsea have been successful with it for example.

I think we'd be a perfect fit for aspiring, talented managers who have reached a certain level of success but aren't yet at the level of  the top tier, but who could want to use us as a springboard for it. If we had a stable board and experienced DoF we could look to apply this model, but until we get that no manager with genuine aspirations will look at us as anything more than a cash cow.

Allardyce and Pardew are similar people; limited skill set, overestimate own sense of selves, underestimate others around them, unlikable, lack of self awareness, lack empathy, lack regard for others, thin skinned and above all else, losers.

Yep

In fairness to Warnock (can't stand the man) though, what an amazing job he's doing at Cardiff, they should be no where near the play offs let alone the automatic promotion places. That said, Warnock will be sacked before chrimbo with Cardiff sitting rock bottom of the prem.

It's not Moyes hating. His career has fallen off a cliff since he left us and he's facing another relegation scrap again this season. I like the bloke and I'll be forever grateful for the job he did here but he has his limitations and he's seemingly following a well worn path that the rest have taken. I hope he doesn't take West Ham down but I wouldn't put any money on it, they're bang in it.

Allardyce is acutely aware of how hostile Goodison will be should the team underperform again on Saturday. “We all are,” he said. “We are absolutely aware of that and I’m sure the players are too. They have to draw on their experience to deliver under the pressure they’ve put themselves under. We have to live with that pressure. We have to get it right tactically and there is going to be frustration against a very good Brighton side who will be difficult to break down.”

Allardyce came in for further criticism from supporters when he appeared to smirk during a television interview following the Burnley defeat. He has denied doing so. “I don’t know what my facial expressions look like when I am answering questions to be honest with you,” he said. “My wife often tells me to stop doing this [fidgets with his face] and all I know is that I was thinking about the question and how to answer it. I think my answer reflected that I was extremely disappointed at the way we lost the game and how we performed in the second half.

“The big responsibility lies on you. This job, you go home and think about it all the time. You have to try and keep a clear mind and be focused on what you do. I really didn’t do anything like that [smirk] that I am particularly aware about.”

Covering his arse - not - the spoofing bastard.

If he does nothing else in his career, he has done far more than all of those tears combined.
Have some respect for what he did for us.

Is he your mum?

No. In just sick of the shit we have to put up with. The buck stops in the boardroom. Notes did a fair bit of good, and to drag him down with fucking martinez, Norman and bow dam the shithouse is just pathetic.
Let's concentrate on getting the club moving in the right direction , not making petty comments about the last decent manager we have had since royle.

Yea, he was good for us, no one is disagreeing with you.

He's been fucking shit since he left though. No harm in acknowledging that. It doesn't detract from his time here.

Wonder if we could coax Harry Redknapp out of retirement.

Always thought he would have been a good England manager.

Could we bury him under the pitch? He'll have a long time stay then. Well, until we move to our new ground :)

We'd get done by the Environment Agency for polluting the earth and when it rains, his Grecian 2000 would cause an oil slick.

Upset is the understatement of the season, the prick should have been sacked on the spot instead of next week after the Stoke game.

Quote
“I’ve got to make that transition from Goodison to away and try and produce the same quality of performance that we deliver here.

“It appears to be a mentality problem because it’s happened for so long but there are so many new players here so it’s difficult to put your finger on.”

Allardyce added: “There have been three managers and three sets of new players almost and you’ve still got the same problems.

So what happened to getting that psychologist in like you said we were going to do?

Sounds like you've got the mentality problem Sam, not the players.

Stoke have got Arsenal and Spurs after us

A lot of teams below us playing each other over next three matches

I've got us in 12th, 7 points above relegation zone even if we lose the next three

nailed on Peter Crouch is scoring in this, always tough playing there, even the big boys struggle against these usually

they are under big pressure now , City tonight, us sat, they are winning one of those and I know which one

He'd love a 0-0 in this one wouldn't he. Two clean sheets on the bounce and another point towards that bonus. Even Lineker has just tweeted that this is last on the Match of the Day running order this week.

Got 5 minutes, touched the ball twice, fell on his arse 3 times.

Might have been injured or dropped the other day.
