I like him but he's ended up being a disastrous signing, was only good in that initial period when he was linking with Lukaku.

28 million we'll never see again.

Less pace in the side with no long term solution or transfer fee. Not really cause for celebration, but it wasn’t looking likely he was going to feature, so i suppose we’ll take it?

Quite a lot of millions to lose yet before a proper team emerges from the fucking fog of the last few years.

How did we become this?

Really liked the lad, and had high hopes, before the injury. Good luck to him.

We really have made a rod for our own back with some of these signings. I see a much more cautious Everton going forward, something I think most of us will he used to. It's going to take a while to correct some of these decisions.

An expensive lesson for Moshiri, for sure.

A poorly informed, wealthy accountant of a successful businessman let a dour, arrogant, uninterested Dutchman and a chief scout/p.e. teacher make and take mad decisions with a chunk of his fortune.

could be totally unrelated (probably is) but Zaha wasn't in the palace squad tonight for their game a day after Hodgson has said they have no money for transfers..

Lookman pretty much slides straight into his position, lookman and Walcott either wing?

Yep hopefully.

But yeah obviously losing an athletically capable player (if he still is) from a team that lacks them isnít 100% great news.

Apologies if anyone thinks Iím being a dickhead by not being made up. Donít really feel too much either way, and he has iím afraid been an extremely bad flop.

Of all the players we need to get off the wage bill for what theyíre contributing, heís top of the list.

Heís not justifying his wage or role in the team. Weíve got lookman there to come in and noises coming out of the club suggest Silva wants a wide man.

Good news for me. We need things to start gathering pace with outgoings.

What wages is he even on?

Not against him going and if we sold him Iíd be more into it because it would at least represent a bit of progress...but weíre going to get him back next year on the same wages but a year older!

Think heís on £80k pw.

Not ideal but his value is very low now as heís post injury with the 6 months hard graft (ie rubbish form) counting against it too.

If heís not in the first team picture then I think the best way of keeping his value at something acceptable is a loan.

We'll probably receive a fee and itís wages not here for a year while a longer term solution can be found.

Unless he really bombs there I canít see us being in a worse position finacially with him that now.

Less pace in the side with no long term solution or transfer fee.

How much is pace worth when the player comes to a complete stop pretty much every time he gets the ball?

Lookman might be slower in absolute terms but if he makes decisions quicker, and it seems like he does, I don't think we'll feel the difference much (if at all).

Also one of the positions where itís worth taking a bit of a hit financially now in the hope that Lookman really comes on.

Probably both worth the same now anyway and theyíll only be going in separate directions.

His injury killed him. He has seemed scared to run at full tilt since.

Hes probably done at Prem level now.
Sad it didnt work out, its the right time to part ways now though.

Probably nobody will match our wages for him. If his motivation is to make money then why would he leave?

Maybe nobody will meet our valuation however low or high it is.

Its not always Evertons fault.

Spot on. Although I would contest we wasted his fortune, more like funds the club had access to under his guarantee.

No, generated by the club from player trading,  increased tv deal and sponsorship in the main.

Itís painful seeing how little we are getting for some of our players. Klassen bolasie and mirallas. We might have to pay them all the leave. Sandro too. Keane on big wages with it all to prove still. Even sigurdsson considering the fee and wages

We just spent last summer throwing it around like it was unlimited. Thank fuck it appears we have finally got a little sense

Meh. Weíve seen many times that he can be used as an outlet driving up the pitch. And before he got injured he was playing well.

I donít feel strongly either way to be honest but I find some of the comments a bit fuckin daft and yeah - until I see some actual positive stuff Iím not going to be celebrating too much.

Like I say Iíd be absolutely fine with it actually if we sold him, but im looking at big kev mirallas turning up for work this week and thinking great so this situation again.

I think Keane and Sigurdsson will still turn out to be good acquisitions, if not value buys.  Certainly not tire fires like the rest.

As i've said before announcing we have a 38 man squad and have to sell a lot of players doesn't scream "We'll play hardball in negotiations" every team out there will be trying their luck and probably succeed.

No one is buying him lads.

Best we can hope for is someone takes him on loan, pays most of his wages and buys him at the end of the season for 10mil.

Ridiculous signing in the first place. Said it at the time but let you bunch of idiots talk me round.

Youís done the same with the Williams signing.

During that period with us he was out producing anything heíd ever done. Was an above-average chance creator and assist maker. Never going to get many goals out of him like unless someone Richarlisoníd him.

Such a shame because on form he is so fun to watch. Gutted for the lad, that injury absolutely fucked him.
