Every team has width. So begging for 'width' doesn't really mean anything. And what good is pace against teams that sit back? (Watching the league the last few years - quite a lot of teams sit back)

We don't have width. You're clearly just being contrary as it's blindingly obvious we play a narrow formation in which 8 players occupy a central line down the pitch. Whether they are told to do that or whether they naturally gravitate to where they feel most comfortable is open to discussion but it happens.
The two players who occupy the flanks can't attack and defend at the same time.

It might help if we had Kyle Walker and Danny Rose as our two full backs to offer the pace and energy to play a full flank on their own, but we don't.
