Has there ever been a case of an interim-manager getting the duties twice in the same season?

The early success that Alardyce enjoyed was mostly down to the Unsworth set-up that he established for the West Ham game.

Then he began to swap and change with disastrous results. All the players needed was continuity in a winning system and team selection. Unsworth finally made it happen and then in walked our 'saviour'. So far, what he says and what he does appear to be two different things.

Time for experiments are over. Spit out the gum. It's time to reset.
