Proper gutted for them.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Tough break. England had them by the short & curlies.

You want more dubious decisions watch the final.

It was cruel for England, they  played very well and had a great World Cup,  Nadeshiko Japan were very untidy and didn't play at all well in this match, they are better than that. But there is a saying about winning big games  even if you don't play well.  :)

As for the final, the USA are the favourites to win like four years ago, and they will expect themselves to win, too.   if Japan play again like today they could lose, But I expect them to play better.
Let's see, then! I would personally like to see the young striker  Arayoshi start in the final, also.

Anyway., Whatever happens in the final, the Japan  womens team has progressed from a team never once winning a knockout match to a chance of two world cups consecutively. They are the most successful group of players in Japanese football in both genders, Great achievements. This is a good example of how England can achieve too if they take the correct steps, and I hope the interest that has developed after their good performences will continue for some. Hard luck  :)

USA are nearly nailed on for the final. The extra day for recovery will be a massive advantage.

Prediction : Japan to show their typical fight but there'll be no last minute reprieves this time. USA 2-0
