The insult was a reaction to your sarcy digs.

A more open game suits Arsenal. They are a better footballing side than us and they're at home. I don't understand why they're there for the taking just because they lost to Monaco in midweek - a team that use a very negative game plan.

I think it would be counter-productive to have gone on the attack from the off. Given that Arsenal are presumably low on confidence after midweek, and their notoriously intolerant crowd, it doesn't strike me as unreasonable to try and kill the game and take the crowd out of it. It's now too late because we failed to defend a set piece.

They were there for the taking as they were shaky, making defensive errors, not closing down and the crowd were quiet. I didnt exepct us to fly at them but make the positive pass when its on.
