Beckford had nothing to work with against the top team in the premiership and got slated for it.  He also seems to have been "dropped" for his no show.  Lets see if Anichebe is dragged off at HT

I think a lot of the substitutions of Beckford this season have been harsh. He is always seems to be the scapegoat.

Bring off Rodwell, bring on Coleman or Gueye.

We've been poor everywhere, but particularly in defence, we just seem to stand in a line on the edge of our 18. Add to that Baines having a shocker individually and they've had a few chances.

Jags and hibbert  have done okay individually but I agree we have massive issues defending as a unit.

Baines should be the nominated Pen taker, don't remember him missing one.

Missed one in the cup against chelsea. I agree tho arteta should be nowhere near them

Can anyone give a coherent explanation for Moyes's team selection today? I just look at our bench and see players who give their all on the pitch, i.e. Coleman and Gueye, and then I see our players on the pitch who look like they could care less about being there.
Are we there yet?

I think everyone is overreacting, as usual. It was a bad half, but it wasn't the worst thing ever, we could very well come out second half and run it and go on to win.

We need some pace on the pitch so one of Gueye, Coleman, or Beckford needs to be coming on to stretch their defense a bit.

To be honest I wouldn't say commitment was the issue, complacency might be

Just another of those games again. Plenty early possesion without creating much, then getting done by one of the oppositions few chances. Another where the defence goes to sleep.

Story if the season really.
