Typical Moyes apologist. Come on, Dithering Dave, throw him in at the deep end!

"" Christie had built up Green’s confidence – a confidence he showed on the field against Aston Villa’s kids who had a pair of central defenders rated as the best young pairing in England – by giving him a place in the Development Squad. Green is proof of concept for the idea of having a way to graduate players from the kids but not to the first team. Green could not have played in the first two months of City’s season and even if he had the realities of League Two football probably would not have helped the player’s development.""

Once Everton has touched you nothing will be the same"

" Notoriously shy and laconic off the field, Dean's quotes are sparse. He is reputed to have said to an over-enthusiastic marker 'I'm going for a pee. You coming?' "

It's a myth that Moyes gives youngsters a chance. I can easily see him not handing this lad a single start all season! Compare it with Wenger, who would've immediately got him to man-mark Cattermole, because he knows how to develop players into superstars.

Come off it Si. Its worth the 300 k to imagine the faces appy arry pulled when he missed out.  ;D

I'd pay 300k to never have to imagine the look on Harry Redknapp's face again.
Everton forever.

Just love the idea of him scoring a hat trick.  Arry rubbing his hands together, and Kyle naughton scoring there winner on sunday. This time, Moysies turned the tables "I absoloutly love it".  ;D

This deal seems mostly based on appearances etc as well

Without wanting to put a downer on things, maybe the excitement over this lad could be counter productive

Yeah, he's a promising 15 year old.  And he's signed for Everton.  Good news.  But worth a lot of fuss at the moment?  Not in my eyes.

I'd have to agree.

Let's face it, if he "only" turns out to be a decent level PL player it will be a good deal.

Nobody can honestly tell whether a 15 year old will develop into a great player , usually , Rooney was the exception and I believe that Walter Smith would have played him as a 15yr old if he'd been allowed to . ... but then you see players like JP Kissock who we all thought was going to be great when he was 14 and is now playing for Luton . The fact that Moyes has personally got involved with this one makes me think that he has something ... We'll see ,

Exactly.

There's a difference between hoping that he turns out well and getting all excited that he's definitely going to be a superstar. (Not saying you have!)

But if we'd kept him, kissock and spencer the blue union wouldn't be able to bleat on about us having the smallest squad  shakeyheadman

I think rating him in the same braket as rooney and gazza is abit premature !
He is a decent player , quite small , loves to get stuck in but has a bad attitude .
He had been in on trial at the shite and got released for fighting on the pitch , and was told he was a problem causer by his school !
Liverpool took him and a defender in on trial  after being recommended them by scouts John McNabb and Iain Barrigan who took andre wisdom in from bradford .
After releasing george for fighting they kept the defender not sure of his name but i think he has since been released
