I've gotta be honest, some of that made me cringe. Bombarding a 15 year old kid with the heavy artillery of marketing somehow feels wrong.

Not being funny mister clanger, but he had his parents and reps with him. Maybe Spurs upping the anti was a fair reason for your post. As far as I can see, the only thing Everton did was to get him excited by the big time derby. Getting in amongst the senior players in the dressing room. Its not That bad. "Is it"?

Don't get me wrong, I know this is what you must do to sign youngsters, and if we hadn't done it, Spurs would've, but it just feels slightly wrong, I'm sorry. Not massively wrong, ias you point out, he had his parents with him and all that and after all, he signed for a great club, but still, I don't think 15 year olds should be subjected to this.

The comments don't bother me since I know this is a business and surely all the other clubs were saying similar if not worse things.

Alan Harper: "I made my debut at Goodison against Stoke and was standing in the tunnel waiting to go onto the pitch. Z cars started playing on the PA and I heard the crowd roar. If I could bottle a moment and save it forever, then that would be it.

He's joined immediately.

He's not becoming a 'full time' Academy member until he's done his GCSEs next summer.

He's still playing for Everton U16s from this point forward though, he's left Bradford.
