The Osman thing is a worry but again it's down to a lack of squad.  Osman is a squad player who on form makes a huge difference, at the moment though he is guaranteed a spot as are a lot of players.  Who do we play instead of Osman?

were unlucky not to get the goal with Baines's free kick.
Indeed, and they were extremely fortunate the guy didn't get a yellow card...which is a disgrace as on a yellow any defender plays differently!

We played OK, but too many of our lads make the wrong decisions with a pass of shooting when there are better options, I know it is easy to see on TV, but Rooney for instance reads the game, has a feel for what to do........none of our 11 can do that just now

A little unlucky not to get a point, just lacked a bit of a cutting edge and quality up front.I thought it was a good shout for the penalty as gueye was goal side of evra and i've seen them given.

On the way home from the game now, it was so dull and grimly predictable. United knew they could just afford to take it easy 2nd half as we wouldn't be able to break them down. Coleman seemed to be the only one prepared to take the game by the scruff of the neck. Bily, Osman and Saha were atrocious, Rodwell was a passenger today as well, his first half shot aside. Too many times we just seemed to have the ball in the middle of the park and we passed it about sideways and backwards, losing all momentum out of any potential attack.
Would have loved to have seen Drenthe out there today. We are so poor going forward
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

Halsey was shite today, gave them everything and us nothing.

Overall I can't really complain, it was a really good performance and I thought we deserved to win.

Considering most predictions were Utd would hammer  us , in the end we were unlucky not to get something from that game , a few penalty shouts and Bainsey hitting the bar we might have come away with a better result .

The Baines freekick was unlucky. Not sure about the pen shouts, they weren't that clear cut. How many times are we going to say that we are unlucky in games. We have no cutting edge. Exactly who is going to score the goals for us?

Thought we played well and deserved at least a point, hard to complain about the performance but it is frustrating.

As others have said it was good to see Coleman back to playing  better today, and I can only see him getting better. I thought he looked like he is in the process of getting a few more 'moves' in his locker instead of just a hit and run, although that will always be his bread and butter. Looked like he was trying some pirouettes and he's only going to get stronger on his left foot which will cause defenders all sorts of problems.

Thought Rodwell looked fantastic today, he didn't play amazing by any means but he was good on the ball, able to keep it moving but also get involved in the attack and showed his ability with both feet. He just looked like he was prepared to have the ball more and take on responsibility whenever required, him and Fellaini were good in the middle of the park today.

I think missing Drenthe was a problem as we lacked that extra cutting edge, I also think having Cahill able to come off the bench would have been useful as some of those balls into the box would have been even tougher to stop with him and Fellaini there. That ball that Vidic stooped to head out for a corner would have been in the net I think.

I thought we waited to long to move Fellaini higher up and should have tried to isolate him against Evra and play some diagonal balls for knock downs as Evans was on the left side of defence and wouldn't have been able to help out much. Disappointed we didn't try to exploit that a bit more but other than that there's little I can complain about given the playing staff we had available today.

Long fucking post though.

Following Everton defeats through the medium of Facebook and Twitter updates is thoroughly depressing.
