Everton – Aston Villa:

2006/07:         0-1, 1-1

2007/08:         0-2, 2-2

2008/09:         2-3, 3-3, 3-1 (FA cup)

2009/2010:     1-1, 2-2

2010/11:         0-1, 2-2

That FA cup game was the only time when Moyes beat O’Neill.

Who was in charge when we beat them 4-1? That doesn't seem like that long ago to me

Hopefully ossie remains in the ACM role instead of Cahill. Personally would play Cahill CM instead of Neville or hietinga there with Distin in at CB. As long as Cahill doesn't start ACM and drenthe starts I'll be happy.

Tough game though, I think 1-1.  Can't see us going there and winning in oneil's honeymoon period.

we need someone to get on the end of crosses while saha is arsing around in midfield or out wide. If fellaini and cahill took turns doing that would be good.

I really think while Rodwell is injured Cahill could be a serious shout for playing CM. Fellani will hold letting Cahill make unmarked late runs into the box. He's not creative and skillful to keep the possistion long term but works tirelessly and could do a job there when needed I feel.
He really shouldn't start any more games as striker/2nd striker/ACM ect it just doesn't work for many various reasons!

So you are dropping Heitinga for Distin why? Heitinga has been solid. If anyone should be dropped of the two it is Jags whose defending has been more suspect than Heitinga's.

Anyway Premier League's predictor had us winning 3-1, but personally I see a 1-1 or 2-1 win for us Blues.

everything gets me thinking o neill win win out again or that a drw is the best we can hope for, however i do also feel theres gonna be a game one day soon where we score 2 or 3 goals almost by accident. (basically everything will just go right for once).

heres hoping tomorrows the day.

Fellaini not traveling apparently

Is Rodwell? Or is he still injured?  If not Neville Heitinga CM partnership will be a poor one

All for this. I actually think he is a solid midfielder. He goes in hard to challenges and wins the ball in the air. At the very least he is more creative than Neville going forward.
