Fellaini should never be played up front. He was only put there in his first season because he was useless for the position he was bought for.

But he has grown into his proper role much better now, so should remain there.

I quite agree , Denis has shown that although he's not the most technically gifted player , his strength and willingness to compete means he is capable of unsettling defenders , I also think he's deceptively quick for a big man . I'd certainly be happy to see him start against Bolton

Disagree.

None of the current forwards can hold the ball up, which makes it hard for the midfield to get the ball in good areas or into goalscoring positions. Fellaini when he goes up there, the ball sticks and he is excellent at bringing others into play further up the field.

Dont get me wrong it isnt ideal and we miss him in the middle, but we lack more up front than in midfield at the moment and I would use him there at certain times. Id try Osman and Saha again as it did ok in the last game together but if that isnt working I would rather see Fellaini up front with Saha than Cahill, Vellios or Denis for instance if it was starting a game.

Maybe as a last resort if we're chasing a game (like we used to do with big Dave Watson), but it should never be considered a starting option imo.

No Fellaini or Drenthe tonight. Not arrived in the players car park and the last of the players just arrived.

Hopefully that means he got his info wrong about Drenthe not signing too then!
