If they're not winning by at least six goals at half time on opening day I can see another classic Liverpool protest march on the cards.

Martinez probably didn't want to move from one selling club to another. Can't blame him.

The same Barnes who wrote in his autobiography that Liverpool fans threw bananas at him before he signed for Liverpool?

This is always conveniently forgotten. At least we've moved on.

They threw bananas at Barnes when he was at Watford.

Dalglish called him "digger" and had a black counter for him on the tactics board.

They're as bad as anyone but act like the guiding light.

Holy fuck, is that true?

But which other soft cunt of a club is gonna bid 15m for Joe Allen?

It's testament to their cuntishness that they've managed to strip Rodgers of any loyalty and less than a month.

He can hit a ball now and again, but that's about it.

It's probably to help boost his price if someone decides to make an offer, protecting their assets and all that. Surprised though seen as he had 4 years left on his deal as it was.

Release clause related I think.

I honestly don't think he's upto the job. Up until he moved there he seemed to talk and act with dignity and respect, two months over the park he's broken a gentlemans agreement with the employers who gave him the chance in the big leagues and now tapping up players.

Talk Sport was lively with kopites calling for an Owen return.

What do you think about Brendie (publicly) writing off his players. The boy Henderson is clearly not wanted, along with Carroll. If WHU can't afford to stump up the 15/16m in the summer it's gonna be tough having player there after the manager forced him out by questioning his integrity. It all seems a bit of a mess, and a bit amateur by airing the laundry in public.

I'd have to agree with you. It's all been very much 'mixed messages' on all fronts. Personally I think we need to start keeping things in-house.

Some shit is going to "get" out, no matter how much they try and stop it. But it was the direct quotes from him that surprised me. A learning curve I suppose, unless he was so annoyed with the situation common sense went out the window, which would have me worried. He's not exactly came straight out of 6th form into the job, he should know better.

Like you say though, at least none of the bigger clubs have come in poaching.

He was terrible yesterday

They should flog him in Jan and buy a goalscorer. They need a goalscorer, he couldn't finish a wank.
