For now, Baines. When he's back on form, Arteta.

I think that is all that has to be said on the matter.
Oh well, at least Baines is still ace.

American Evertonian

Donovan, hands down.  He is the U.S. penalty taker and has ice in his veins.  He has the experience and has done great in all penalties I have seen him take, live and on tv.

If we are going for goal keepers then I would like to see the opposition goalie given a chance.

You could tell with Saha's body language that he wasn't up for taking the spot kick.

Watching on TV it seemed to me that he TOLD Cahill he would be taking the kick, so I cant agree that he wasn't up for it.

That said, I prefer Baines or, as second choice, Arteta.

I'm glad he missed the penalty.  I said at half time it may well be a good thing to go in 1-1 instead of 2-1 up and I was proved right, Chelsea came out for the 2nd half a bit lacklustre and we came out looking to win.

I think that if Saha had scored, no one would be even having this discussion. I think that he was the right player to take the penalty yesterday. But now, because he missed, he might shake even more if we have another one, Baines should then take it, but I think that Arteta should be the one, once he gets a few more games.

Neither of them have a particularly powerful shot.  Pienaar would place a pen but I like to see a decent blast myself.  Baines has that so him for me.
