Difficult question to answer, I thought initially he was definitely worth the money we paid for him, 21 goals in his first season is an excellent achievement considering he joined us a few games into the season and was in the African Nations, plus there were maybe 5-10 games in the beginning of his time here where...well...lets just say you would have thought Anichebe was the £11.25m player while Yak looked the Phil Jevons of the team.

But in the last 18 months I would say he was worth significantly less, not even £4m. But there is always hope he will rediscover his goalscoring form and therefore his value will increase.

We can't sell him now. He needs to get back some form first.

Come on, nobody is going to start threads like this when he is on form. ;)

What would you say Yakubu is worth, money-wise?

Why dont you just admit and say you want to cash in?

Keep him, pre-season behind him and he will get 20 goals next term.

How hard is it for some people to realise how bad that injury actually is to a footballer, mentally as much as physically

He just doesn't seem bothered at all and you can't blame that on the injury...

I think he'll be back to his best next season. He has shown flashes of his brilliance lately.

Footy is a confidence thing and at the moment he has no confidence.

A good run in the team and a few goals and he'll be back to his best. If not moyes wil let him rot like he did with Beattie and well recouperate about 5m.

He has seemed bothered recently.  He looks a lot sharper.  Why sell him, we certainly haven't got the money to replace him with a player of a similar calibre?

He is still relatively young. Proven at every level. Scored  on a prolific level everywhere he's gone. I'd say between 15-20m
