leaving us this summer, during the pre-Fulham press conference.

It'll be interesting if his comments get much coverage in the national tabloids, given the amount of stuff they've already printed about him being nailed on to leave.

David Moyes hopes it is a case of second time lucky after planning another move to lure Clint Dempsey to Everton this summer, although money could prove an obstacle again. Moyes had scouted Dempsey extensively when he was at New England Revolution but did not have the funds to match Fulham's £2m bid in January 2007.

Towards the end of the article Moyes states he has no intention of leaving in the summer. That's welcome news IMO.

Nothing about Dempsey but I assume it's this article,

Thats a better more detailed version of the story. Moyes  not leaving that is. But there is a story about Dempsey too. In the BBC gossip column. Sorry I can't get the  address up for you.

Doubt we could afford Dempsey, plus he's not much younger than Tim. Would rather a younger player in that role.

Would be great with Jelavic though. If only.

Great news, I'm glad he's made his intentions known early enough so as the ' will he, won't he ' question isn't hanging in the air.

It was hardly the most convincing statement. He could have been a bit more enthusiastic and taken a more positive approach to answering the question. I think, and hope he will stay, however, for the first time in a few years I'm not so sure.

One year left on his contract, in the prime of his career, why not?

An interesting quote

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2012/04/28/david-moyes-says-he-won-t-walk-out-on-everton-fc-to-quit-football-this-summer-100252-30857659/2/

"Moyes managed to land goal-scorer Jelavic for just £5.5m in January, and admits that deal alone has helped him see a bright future for the club.

“I have been thinking ‘what would be good to go with Jelavic?’ - suddenly in your mind you are starting to build a team. We have had some of the pieces in the jigsaw,” he said.

“We’ve now got a forward who can score but maybe we are lacking a bit of creativity.

“I can see pictures and directions of where we should be going that will probably help us progress again.”

Sounds like a man with a plan ? ...and one that should please all the fans if he gets it right
