In terms of the expected average quality of our early opposition last season, we had a really good opportunity to get a bagful of points. Obviously it never happened. We had to fight tooth and nail, against higher placed and rated teams to end the season in a higher position. ("Nothing new in that"!) I just hope this season, we don't end up with a fixture list that has all, or most of the big guns in the first 5 or 6 games. Something similar to last seasons fixtures, "I believe", will have us in the top six early on. We are much better equipped to score more, a big problem early last season. I would like to bet and with confidence! Europe will happen this year. Bring on Swansea at Goodison.

If it's a home game, we should all do something wacky and come to Goodison wearing Christmas hats, in an effort to get our season started early.

Really had me cringing with the use of the word 'wacky' - I thought "Oh god - what's he thought of..?"

But I LOVE this idea!

Thread to show support? Media leak to promote? Everyone Tweet Greg O'Keefe?

How do we make this happen. As well as anything else, it would be an excellent message to the Board, the Manager and the Players about what we expect of them.

think you are the only one finding that kick off fine - knowing the PL and Sky it could well be - well it can't we would have to be on live TV earning some sky money  :headbang:

I can see it being a Monday night pain in the arse or a wednesday before christmas.

I think our sky games will be the usual, United,Liverpool x2, Spurs and maybe 1 other.

If you look at the 2011-2012 fixtures, replaced the Relagated teams with the promted teams then you can get a rough idea on how the fixtures are gonna be.

third Thursday in June at 10am (although a lot of media break the embargo and publish them about an hour earlier - they get them the night before)

I'm sick of this vague Net forum rumor bullshit.
Can't you be more specific?

I hope we start off with an away game. Less pressure. If they lose, oh well, it was away, if they win, it's a good boost for the season, and gives confidence.
