So Baines doesn't want to go, we don't want to sell him and with a decent striker/midfielder, decent squad forward and average squad midfielder coming in, not to mention a fine cohort of youth on show in the Austria galleries, we don't need to sell to refresh the squad.

Why is this still being touted as a possibility?

Its Everton the press hate us. Also the papers know we are poor and want to fill the columns so they put 1+1 together and get 8

I think Rodallega will come here, just because he wont have to move house, lovely little signing on bonus nice wage increase and moving to a better club than the rest interested. Be surprised if he moved elsewhere.

He'll get first team football elsewhere. he'd only be a bit player for us.

I think he'd play the same role at every club he's been linked with starting 10-15 games a year rest appearances from the bench.

I'm sure I read on GOT that Bill has said via his official website that there will be some big news regarding Everton this week - this was after the Rodwell deal was announced.

Nothing remotely Everton related on his site

Yes Rodwell gone for 12m, 7-8m gone to banks and green.  Rest will be spent on loans and lawn mowers.

Change the tune mate.

Thought he was going to the Arse?

They've spent enough already! Let us have some scraps at least!

Was reported on SSN yesterday that Mirallas had said that Arsenal were in for him, but he was afraid they would be put off by his 6.3M buy-out clause. Does this mean we were second choice?

I doubt we have ever been somebodies first choice during the premier league era.

Missed out big time with Huddlestone

I agree so much with this. Thing is though Spurs might consider us rivals to European football so they wouldn't let us loan him.

Wouldnt be disapointed if we didnt

Ideally i'd still like a CM for cover, even if its just a loan or a few million for a championship player, just for numbers.

Anyone know anything about this Odis chap?

CM, good young player, wont be a starter, will be a squad player from what I've seen of him for Belgium anyway. Never seem him at club level.
