a bunch of average players caused the biggest fluke season in premiership history. I was convinced we were gonna be relegated that season.

Marcus bent ran his arse off, Martyn was a cat, Carsley a warrior, Cahill an amazing buy and Duncan Ferguson an amazing impact player
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

Still can't believe Marcus Bent scored a goal
Farhad Moshiri, Alisher Usmanov, Muhamed Besic, Idrissa Gana Gueye, Ademola Lookman, Oumar Niasse, David Henen, Barack Hussein Obama, Confucius... Everton Muslims growing stronger...

Finishing 4th with a goal difference of -1!

The 7-0 defeat to Arsenal didn't help like.

Our starting 11 was something like

                              Martyn

              Hibbert Weir Stubbs Pistone

            Osman Carsley Gravesen Kilbane
                               Cahill
                                Bent

Mad that some of us had the expectation that we could have gone on and done something in the champions league with that team

The euphoria of being 16/17 at the time and seeing us finish above Liverpool, for the first time in my living memory, was just something I'll never forget.

Cahill's celebration against Newcastle (did he open the scoring that day?) to show us all that it was done and we'd got fourth was just majestic.
