Time for a little positivity.

We know they don't finish strongly and they play an FA cup semi final 4 days before we play them so if they get beat by Chelsea their confidence could be knocked even lower. A performance like the one away to City may just be enough. We need Arteta back though to get anything from this match.

Can't predict anything this far from the match, lots can happen in a week and a half.

I'm hoping for:

--------------------------------------------Howard--------------------------------------------------
Coleman/Neville--------Jagielka------------------Distin--------------------------Baines
-------------------------------Heitinga-----------------Arteta-------------------------------------
----Bilyaletdinov-----------------------------------------------------------Pienaar--------------
-------------------------------------------Yakubu----------------------------------------------------

1-2. Carew to score (as always), then Arteta to score 2 sexy free kicks.
Oh well, at least Baines is still ace.

Neville Jags Heitinga Baines

Fuck knows Arteta Osman Pienaar

We play best when we have ball players in the team. See Man U for example. Lets produce something like we did the last time we beat Villa at Villa Park. We played sexy then.

We really shouldn't have any excuses off not getting anything from this game. All their efforts and focus will be on the semi-final (hopefully it goes to extra time).
You wouldn't put it past Everton to get a result similar to the one at Man City two weeks back. On the other hand much depends on Arteta's fitness. Sitting on the fence for this one 1-1.

2 rb's or 10 men, either way it's a good job your the assistant manager.

I meant Coleman if he's back, Neville if not.

I forgot to add Cahill though. I always do this  :bonk:

I thought Arteta was weeks away from returning.  Is he due back for the Villa game or are we being optimistic?

Hopeful I think.

There was a chance he was going to make the squad for the WHU game. So hopefully in 10 days time he should be ok.

I really don't know how this game will go, if they lose their semi, they will be on a downer. As has been the case for us to much this season, it depends which Everton turn up.

These games have been really tight the past few years. On paper you'd say we have the upper hand, given our rest and their now regular end of season slump, but it's hard to say.

I really want them beat, though.
