He's not wank though. Far from it. If he had played for arsenal he'd be shit hot. You're so predictable with who you hate. Your irrationality follows the same patterns all the time.

Sent from Überwald via the clacks

Completely off topic, but had a conversation with a mate about the time he went to Spurs saying, if Arsenal had bought Parker, Jags and Freidal, they would be challenging for the league.

Could have been a very good buy for them.

Too late now for any top half Premiership team, unless he is willing to sit on the bench.

Man city have recalled Dereck Boyata from FC Twente , on loan there, does this mean they are preparing to let Lescott go ?

Murray won't ever win a slam. Mentally not good enough

Yes, both Toure's are going to AFCON. That leaves Kompany, Nastasic, and Lescott (plus an out-of-position Richards). If Kompany is injured, I can see why Boyata was recalled.

Platt to Mancini: "Hey Roberto - I think we'd better bring back a shit player to cover for the ACON."

Mancini to Platt: "Yep fair dos.  Good shout David. That what we pay you for..."

I think the reason they recalled him was he wasn't getting games, so they'll send him back out on loan somewhere else instead, rather than keeping him as cover.

Agree with ILB here, Scott Parker is fucking pony.

All the media wank off him cause he's throwing his head in to a tackle by the corner flag.

His positional awareness and passing range is sub standard.

Anyone who thinks phil nev is better than parker is A) an older gentleman in a mid life crisis and likes his highlights b) knows nothing about football c) a div d) a wind up merchant

Neville isnt better than him. However he has always been an average player with a great work rate, commitment and made the best out of what he was given. Never overly rated him however fair play to him to have as good a career as he has. Plenty of more talented players could look at his attitude.

I've only ever seen Parker have one good game and that came against Spain which was watched all over the UK, so it's understandable to think why some people consider him amazing.

He is just an average player though with a very good work rate.

I remember the summer when we were after Parker, Cudicini and Fossell. Was so excited about those signings coming off. As it turned out, perhaps only Parker was the miss out of that lot.

In the last decade he is the only player to win the FWA footballer of the year, while playing for a club that didn't finish in the top 4, let alone getting it while playing for a club that got relegated. He was also selected by fellow professionals in the PFA team of the year last season.

I think in some ways the accolades have probably made some think he's an over rated donkey, as he rarely tries too much flash stuff. Football is more than being able to spray 60 yard balls or skin 3 people and he works smart, as well as hard. It's one thing to say to someone to do the simple things well, but very few players manage to do anywhere near the level he does consistently.

No one has said he is world class, but in terms of English defensive midfielders, it's hard to name many better. Having said all that, I wouldn't be that excited about getting him as he is on a decreasing curve with age, plus his wages. But the idea that is 'limited' or just average with a good work ethic are not accurate.

He got noticed and was the absoloute business for a year or so. Absoloute shit hot till all the hype seemed to ruin him. He's back from injury.  now. We have to wait and see, I think? really. A Trevor Steven if I ever saw one.
