Ideal time to play them after what's happened today.

The pitch should fine. Spectator safety could be the deciding factor?

Major blow against Vic.  Terrible selection by Moyes... Anichebes can't come on soon enough.

He's carrying a knock, that's why he didn't start.

It's not a bad result in the end, we could have been 3-0 down by half time.

Poor performance pretty much all round, Howard with some decent saves kept us in it. Anichebe making another decent appearance of the bench.

I've got to say the criticism of Naismith really is getting pathetic, ever slightly poor touch, misplaced pass is immediately jump upon. He wasn't nearly as bad as people were making out tonight and given the team performance, it's very difficult for a player low on confidence to make a difference, when most around you are having a shocker.

This is the difference between us and a top 4 team.

A draw against Southampton is a bad result, a loss would have been a dreadful result.

It is a good result based on our first half, they could have been out of sight, plus they've only lost about 2 in their last 13.

You're right though, it is the difference between us and a top four team. If we get it it'll be because others have fucked as well. 11 draws so far, and we'll be very fortunate to get the top 4.

The difference is the fact that we draw too many games in general, not that we drew at Southampton.  Top 4 teams contrary to popular belief do drop points against lesser teams as well.

Of course they do, in theory there's 16 teams below them, they'll never beat them all. I just think we've never built up a decent run, it's been very stop start in terms of a run of wins. We need to hope that the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool carry on doing that and dropping points as well so that we can stay with them, because at the moment we don't look like suddenly changing that.

Hopefully Mirallas can stay fit, but Gibson seems a bit away and Vic seems to get a few niggles still.

Just to mention to people saying Anichebe should have started. They said in the pre match that he was carrying a slight hamstring strain.

Always defended Naismith and said he's a good squad player, but today i realised how much he really doesnt want the ball. Its like he hides because he's scared he'll make a mistake.

Surely if that was the case he wouldn't be trying to get on the box as often as he does?
