League Finishing Position - 9th (Too many teams improving around us and a transition year)

FA Cup - Quarters

League Cup - Quarters

Player wise who will be:

Top Scorer - Kone

Most Important Player - Gibson

Breakthrough Season - Stones

Surprise Package - Naismith

Biggest Disappointment - High defensive line leading to conceding when we can see the break coming or being a goal down with 5 minutes to go and constantly playing out from the back.

(Player wise, probably Baines as the bar is set so high)

Nailed it there for me.

Too much change going on, and to many teams buying well in the transfer market around us.

Be happy with 9th as long as we see some progression as the season goes on. We're not looking to comfortable with this playing it from the back stuff at the moment.

I don't see who could improve so much to get to us. We finished 11 points ahead of West Brom in 8th last season.

The only side that has a realistic chance is Swansea in my opinion and I'm not sure they could with no guarantee last season wasn't a one off and their European commitments this season.

If Moyes was in charge I would agree.

But we have a manager trying to get a completely different way of playing across to the players, which is gonna take time and some bad results along to way.

Im worried at the amount of people who think we're gonna finish 4th here tbh.

Transistion period is all about how long it takes, Our neighbours finished with 9 more points than the previous season last year. I get the reservations but I just think with our squad, 11 points is too much of a difference to make up for other teMs when we haven't lost any meaningful players (yet?).

Agreed.

I know pre season games don't mean a lot, but we conceeded goals in every game, and this was predicted when RM was linked with the job. To address the balance, (i.e to win games 5-4), we don't need goal scorers we need prolific goal scorers. Have we got them?

Outside of us I think man city will win title, chelsea second, united third (possibly sacking moyes at Christmasishtime) and spurs 4th. Us Liverpool and arsenal will battle ufor next 3 spaces with a surprise, possibly a revitalized villa in the mix as well.

Relegated will be palace, cardiff and newcastle or sunderland
I'm fat, but it's not my fault I have a genetic condition resulting in me retaining burgers.
