11 points is too much of a difference to make up for other teMs when we haven't lost any meaningful players (yet?).

I can see your point, but the problem is both the transition in the club and the improvement of the other clubs. I think the change in style will cost us at least 6 points (a couple of avoidable loses or draws from defensive mistakes) and I think the teams around us have bought well enough to make up 6 or so points (Bony is probably worth at least a win or 2).

So with the two combined I can easily see us being over taken, but as The Ram said, if we are improving by the second half of the season I won't be too worried.

Surely in Swansea's case you have to look at the impact of European football as well?

Their European adventure started last week, surely that'll hinder their season regardless?

I'm not saying we're going to finish top 7 for sure but I think we have a strong enough safety net to say we should.
I'm more trusting of fellas when they have my cock in their mouth

As the season goes on, I think you are right, that will be an issue, but they had the extended cup run last year, so they are not completely without experience in the area of multiple games (I know Europe will be tougher, but it depends on the importance they place on it).

Agreed.

I know pre season games don't mean a lot, but we conceeded goals in every game, and this was predicted when RM was linked with the job. To address the balance, (i.e to win games 5-4), we don't need goal scorers we need prolific goal scorers. Have we got them?

We seemed to concede every game last year with Moyes in charge too.

Didn't we end up with the 3rd best defensive record? Behind Utd & City
There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

We did, because we were mostly only conceding a goal a game. Just like pre season.
