He'll go to Utd.

I would have loved to see him and Rooney play together 9 years ago

Now though, it'd be like watching them in slow motion

I'd have him as an option from the bench.

Imagine being 1-0 down at Goodison and bringing Cahill on for the last 20, the lift it would give the crowd and team would be worth it alone.

That's all it should be though, the odd cameo here and there.

I actually think we could get some use out of him. He had a really good season in the MLS this year, picking up 12 goals and 5 assists and finishing in most sport writers MLS first 11, and he is still a monster in the air. No way he would ever be used as a starter, but as a late game sub, he would not be a horrible option off the bench.

So we are ignoring his three match ban then?

If we all look the other way then it doesn't exist.

Wouldn't it always count? Not sure these things can expire?

He'd be out for the first week of January then. Not the end of the world.

Ban? What ban?

Remember? He did a Zidane in his final match for us.

No but at that to his limited performances with us before he left and it's probably not worth it. I also wouldn't want him to come back and do poorly further diminishing just how good and important he was for us.

Wasn't the end of last season his 'send off'?

He probably outstayed his welcome by a year or 2 there.

He was a good servant for this club but we've moved past Tim Cahill.

I find it strange how people trust Martinez to win the Champions League without any money but don't trust him to judge whether Cahill could be useful for us or not. (I'd understand if it was Moyes.)
