Unless we have some injury recoveries of Lazarus proportions, and Lukaku remembers how to run and control a ball, I am really fearing the worst.

They are shite Rat Face and Sturridge aside, I just don't think we have enough goals in us to get a result.  Hope to fuck I'm wrong.

It doesn't sound as though Deulofeu will be back in time, still out in Barcelona and being assessed every 3 days. I've got hope for Barkley and it sounds like Pienaar should be fine.

So what's the deal as it stands for injuries, other than the long termers,  for the derby?

Pienaar - out
Coleman - most likely out
Barkley - out
Barca Kid - may make bench
McGeady - good for maybe one half
Traore - (if signed ) out with hamstring

Looks like a huge creativity gap. Anyone any updates on those above or anything I've missed?

Shame about Barca Kid but having Barkley and Pienaar back would do me just fine.

I think Pienaar, Deulofeu and possibly even Barkley may make it. I also don't think Colemans injury was that bad unless I've missed anything today so he could be back too.

Also wasn't this Traore injury just something West Ham put out there and hasn't actually been confirmed.

Don't worry, Ian. When we were boss, we had a huge fixture congestion and had to re-arrange a derby (I think) for a Thursday night. We had injuries galore and played 4/5/ or 6 rezzies'...we fuckin' won 1-0 (Wilkinson, IIRC).

I'll be watching in Cyprus.

Don't think I'll go to my usual bar though...it's always full of RS even when they are not playing.

I think I'll watch a stream as it's not on until 10pm.

(Us retired folk need to be in bed soon after that!!)
Rotterdam \'85

Can anyone substantiate any of these Seamus, Pienaar, Deulofeu rumours please? Just be nice to know there's some substance to it, before I get too happy.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.
