Given Mertesaker had the turning circle and pace of the Graf Spee we need pace in abundance up front against arsenal.

I'm going for a front 4 of:

Deloufeu Pienaar Mirallas

Lukaku

With the attacking mids switching positions to probe weakness.

Barkley, McGeady and Naismith are 3 great attacking options from the bench.
looks like a good line up plenty of pace and skill there

I think there's reason that Mirallas and Deulofeu are very rarely (if ever?) on the pitch at the same time.

We only play with one ball?

Unless Lukaku is 100% I'd really think we should consider using him as an impact sub at half time. He struggled for full 90 mins of fitness even when he didn't have a layoff.

Anything less than 0-3 in our favour will be embarrassing by Roberto's QF standards.

Arsenal always tend to blow their season in the space of a few days, losing in the CL and the prem and then being dumped out the cup by Everton in over a 10 day spell would really piss on Wenger's chips.

If you ask any Gooner they would probably wouldn't be surprised if it played out like this.

I was going to disagree then had a little think and decided you're probably right.

Yeah I'm pretty nervous when I think about it - not helped by only 6 wins in the last 50 (home and away) fixtures against them!

Although I'm also using that as a "got to beat them sometime" theory!
