Reading this reminded me of something that Jamie Redknap said pre match on Sunday.  When referring to Evertons champiopns league finish he said.... "I see them having to win their remaining 6 games and when did they last achieve that?"

Hehe.... anyway... 2-0 the blues...

Hopefully it stays that way.  Don't want them feeling confident.

Firstly, how good does this look:

Everton's last 5 domestic results:

Everton 2-1 Cardiff (Deulofeu, Coleman)
Everton 3-2 Swansea (Baines Pen, Lukaku, Barkley)
Newcastle 0-3 Everton (Barkley, Lukaku, Osman)
Fulham 1-3 Everton (O.G, Mirallas, Naismith)
Everton 3-0 Arsenal (Naismith, Lukaku, O.G)

Secondly, Sunderland might go 5 at the back.

My thoughts exactly. Looks quite lovely if you ask me

They as good as down. There is no fight or belie in that team. Wes Brown or John O Shea v Lukaku/ Barkley/ Mirallis et al. We should win this comfortable. Nervous now

These games tend to be our achilles heel, in recent years anyway, but there's something different about us right now. A confidence and swagger that's a joy to watch. The express has left the station and there's just no stopping it...

3-0 Everton

I don't just want us to win.  I want us to humiliate them

To be honest, I'd settle for a 1-0 win. As I would for every remaining game. Scrappy horrible 1-0 that get us to 4th. Even if we have to claw ourselves over the line.

My nerves are getting the better of me with so much on the line!

Score first and we beat these. Their crowd will be their worst enemy.

They're in last chance saloon now.

That obviously presents a danger in that desperation can raise energy levels and performance levels.

But - as Thornton says, the flip side is that if it's not going well their crowd will get on their backs which is never helpful.

The position they are in then surely they will have to go for a win which should allow us space in behind them.  Its when teams like this just sit back and defend we tend to struggle but hopefully they realise a draw is no good for them in their position

I hope none of our players come out in the media saying how we are going to batter Sunderland like some on here are doing. You don't have to have a long memory to remember us with our backs to the wall facing probable relegation. Sunderland have to win their home games. Expect the Alamo on Saturday or do you believe mackems have no guts? It will be difficult, noisy and physical.
