Senderos was only ever on loan. He's returned to Arsenal now that the season has ended.

Senderos was only ever on loan. He's returned to Arsenal now that the season has ended.

He's out of contract this summer so we could sign him, assuming he's happy to come and sit on the bench. He's not as good as Yobo but is unlikely to feature anyway so selling yobo and keeping him could free up some funds.

I wouldn't mind moving Distin and Yobo out as their both coming to the end of there time at Everton. I can't see either of them being here by the end of next summer. Jagielka and Heitinga could start the season to avoid major distrupion to the team.

Its all dependant on how much money we've got to spend in the summer. I can't see Moyes spending the majority of his budget on a position we're well covered in. If we had enough money to get in a decent right winger without selling then he could move on one of the centre backs to help fund this signing but thats extremely unlikely. A right winger is a priority.

I dont think we'll sell Distin, I think that Moyes also sees him as a LB backup.

I just wonder how accurate those reports are, where on earth did we get that kind of money?

Unless the Euro has crashed and become worthless, the money side is a mystery.

You never know? Maybe €10m is worth about £38.50?

Here's hoping but i'd assume Ajax would still want a tad more than that

Good question. Maybe we're paying in installments. Nothing down, and then very little over a very long time.

It's an interesting rumour.

The initial reaction is to discount it on 2 fronts.

The first being the most obvious, in that we're skint.

The second being that if we did have €10m we wouldn't spend it on an area where we have 4 players who are at least adequate.

However the CB area might not be as strong an area as at first glance.

Yobo seems to have fallen considerably out of favour, Distin is very shaky at times, Senderos is not great.

That leaves JH and Jags.

JH is fine obviously, and so is a pre injury Jags.

However, and I know it's early days, since Jags has come back he's looked well short of the form he had previously.

I fully expect that he'll make it back to what he was, but if he doesn't, and Moyes thinks that there's a chance that he won't, we'd suddenly be exposed in terms of quality.

With Lescott, Jags and a still in favour Yobo we were more than well off for top quality choice in that position for a couple of seasons. We don't want to suddenly find ourselves short in a crucial area of the pitch.
