Ever the professional! Must have been a nice little pick me up for Baines and Barkley after some of the overboard media coverage they've received.

Mean while as all the brightest young managers of world football gather in Brazil exchanging ideas and philosophies a combined crack team of 17 cosmetic surgeons and veterinarians are hard at it in Bulgaria. Working on the their biggest challenge of their professional careers...

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

I can imagine the players really appreciated the visit, they must be wallowing in the result somewhat and I'd think Martinez would be just the person to pick you up and give you a lot of confidence back. Maybe I'm doing Hodgson a disservice but I don't think that's his strong suit.

Have to say he's a really good analyst on ESPN too. He's representing Everton very well in the American market.
