Of all the people who were basically handed a managerial job on the back of having played for Ferguson, Steve Bruce seems to be the only one who's done reasonably well.

Hugh's is okish?

I'm not convinced yet about Bruce. He's only had hold of average teams and can't stay in one place. His teams are usually a bit soft and he moans a hell of a lot. He would be perfect for Newcastle but it would only be then that we would have idea how good he really is because he's never going to get a job with us or spurs.

The thing with Bruce is this: as he starts to look more and more into an elderly Samwise Gamgee, it's a lot harder to dislike him.

I think Bruce may be found wanting at a club that's expected to challenge for major honours regularly.

Probably, but compared to the unmitigated disaster the others have been, he's alright.

And Magath's gone.

Herr Engelbert von Smallhausen from Allo Allo.

SAF seems to have left a legacy of ace cunts as opposed to top football managers, especially when you chuck in Roy Keane to those mentioned.
Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then it's not the end.

Is that a reference to his nose?

The nose is a result of an extremely ill-advised joke about plaited beards and bogbrushes, which he told in a dwarf pub.

It is indeed a reference to his wonky schnozzle.

That's the thing with Steve Bruce, he's found his level with the likes of Hull. If, in the unlikely event, a club like Manchester United came in for him then I'd fear it would only end up like Moyes' reign there or Hogdson at the Shite.
