Who'd have him now? It's been a long time since he was a young promising manager doing a solid job at Blackburn and Wales. He can't even be seen as an Allardyce or Pulis type that you'd bring on to get a club out of trouble.

Didnít he have 3 top half finishes with Stoke?

Heís just ok but not obvious what he is as a manager.

Bookies are absolutely clueless with the favourite to take over at 6/1 https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/stoke/next-permanent-manager

Heís a bit of a fraud but I could see Garry Monk getting the gig.
I'm more trusting of fellas when they have my cock in their mouth

Stoke sack Hughes

How will they manage without him?

And to think he featured in our manager's poll, and got votes.

Then again we did appoint Sam Alderdyce

Amazed he lasted this long.  Back in to Wales?

Nah, Giggs is looking like the front runner at the moment.

It must be a trudge trying to inspire teams to tenth every year (sometime at the expense of a cup run) with no real possibility of getting a top job.
Maybe it's why that bracket of manager just seem to swap jobs every few years.

Mark Hughes said it himself - who else is going to do it?  Scraping the barrel of reasons to stay in a job.
At 1 stage he was mooted to manage us ffs we dodged a bullet there

Yeah Hughes was whoring himself around as many clubs as possible at the end of his playing days. Can help to get a foot in the door if you plan to manage.

Just relieved Bill never bought into it because although Hughes is very confident and articulate he is bloody clueless, I think it was round the time of the Moyes departure
