Eto'o as lead striker against Swans makes a lot of sense.  And since I went with Coleman for first goal, I don't have to scramble to edit my prediction pool entry.  Woo!

Kristof Terreur says Lukaku is carrying a knock.

Let's hope he's not dead like Gibson, then.  At least on life support.  Good subterfuge, listing him in the squad nonetheless.

Kristof Terreur says Lukaku is carrying a knock.

Not surprised. When he was subbed off during the Burnley game, he looked like he was limping a bit.

Everton make two changes from the win over Burnley last Sunday. Midfielders Ross Barkley and Aiden McGeady replace the benched Leon Osman and Romelu Lukaku.

Swansea make five changes from the side which lost at Liverpool in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday as they return to the side that beat Leicester in the league last week. Striker Wilfried Bony, keeper Lukasz Fabianski, midfielders Ki Sung-Yueng, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Wayne Routledge are all back in the starting line-up.

This Distin situation is really weird. Not in the squad again today. Can't have pissed RM off too much cos he came in against Lille.

If he really did accuse the manager of being clueless defensively then he must have egg on his face given that our defensive record has improved dramatically without him in the team.

Good team that, again with a top class bench.

Made up to see Eto finally get the start upfront without playing with Lukaku and dropping deeper, lets see how he does as an out and out forward.

Montero, Bony and Siggurdson are all really dangerous players, definitely not gonna be a walk in the park this. But should have enough quality to see them off in the end.

personally don't think its his best role at the moment; would expect to see Naisy doing most of the work up top with eto'o behind when we are in posession and roles reversed when swansea have the ball

Doesn't bother me what roll he does to be honest, as long as he is on the pitch, but you are right it could be interesting to see if Naisy does indeed play forward more.

When Eto'o scored his second against Burnely he was playing as an out an out forward, I'd like to see what he can do when he plays as our lone front man for a longer spell.
