Grim line up that

That's some bench though Jim. Plenty of variation there and Eto'o on the bench too. Shame Seamus isn't there.

Wow.

Fucking horrible team selection that like.

I will get behind the lads ofcourse, but with the options we have, that is fucking grim, put me on a right downer.

Osman and Hibbert in the same starting line up, what decade is this?

Sorry, didn't mean to give impression that WAS the lineup.  Bad phrasing on my part.

Wholly uninspired by our "attacking" options here.
Take it easy.... Kjær will probably return to business as usual allowing Lukaku to score a goal or 2.

I hope so.  But now expecting a grim nil-nil repeat.

Kind of hoped we'd be past starting Osman and Hibbert in the same match by Martinez's second season.

Well...Premier League should always come first but thought the lineup would be a little bit more inspiring for a home game.

My guess is Hibbert has been brought in to contain Origi again but I am wondering how the hell we are going to get past Simon Kjaer and this defensive lot.

Gotta rotate for the Europa league, lads.

Can't be going full strength week in week out.

I agree mate but it's not like the same lads are playing week in week out there's been a lot of changes so far this season, I still feel we'll beat these but it looks a bit off balance

Haha, even wondering if a name on the team sheet is supposed to read as Naysmith

If he didn't rotate things people would no doubt moan their tits off in March if the team looks knackered and say Martinez should have used the squad more in Europe.

The likes of Barkley and Pienaar are just getting back from injuries and should be nursed back slowly. I'd rather they were given 20 minutes and at the end rather than thrown in for 60-70 minutes tonight when they're not fully fit. Especially Pienaar who seems to be struggling a bit to get up to fitness again.

Usually I'm pretty optimistic with respect to Everton.  But I think the last fixtures in the Prem and Europa merited some extra speed and creativity on the pitch for this VERY important match.

Not that gutted, would like Atsu to have started though for pace on both sides. Mc Geady and Hibbert work ok together though so should provide a threat. Big game for Lukaku.
