Won't be easy because of the game on Thursday but like @Ell Capitan said we need to start putting these sort of bottom feeders away now if we want to push on.

The perception of other teams fans that if you play on a Thursday night then you're fucked for a game on a Sunday is quite frankly a load of bollocks

I think the problem is often you get a team like Newcastle that have a one off good season but the following year slip back to their normal level, bit like the shite are doing as well.

I agree that teams shouldn't make excuses about the Europa League.

Don't think it means you're fucked, but it can make a 1 or 2% difference in how sharp you are, which can cost you a close game. We need to be on it from the word go tomorrow. If they see us looking laboured, it can encourage an awful team like Sunderland to think they can win.

I think, given that he's had no European experience as a manager and given the injuries we've had, Martinez is managing the Europa League/League situation very well. He's made no excuses at all, and he's rested enough people in the EL games to freshen things up.

It's just lazy punditry in the media putting our tricky start down to the Europa League. The injuries, and the badly organised pre-season combined with the World Cup hangover have been the issues.

Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Their line up is woeful. Our second team should beat them. I'll predict a Pienaar masterclass today (probable my wont even start now).
