never judge a book by its cover

Yeah Roberto De Niro. :eh:

We look shite, and Barkley needs his head sorting, too deep all the time. doesn't offer enough for 90 mins.

Fair play to Hibbo for this seasons performances another one today, and i used to throw up when i seen his name on the team sheet.

Mcarthy awesome again, and Ossie took his goal well.

Eto showed some class today, and Howard actually looked half decent.

Bobby to say character and phenominal 3 times each on MOTD.

Will enjoy me pint tonight.

You get a "cool", you need it.

Agree with your analysis.  West Ham will be gutted not to get something out of that.  We had a Mediocre team performance today, but there were some good individual contributions.

FAO everybody: don't forget how well Distin played.  Carroll was restricted to 16-yd headers at best!

West Ham: Shithouse team, shithouse and corrupt manager, even more corrupt backroom. Horrible fuckin' side. James Collins wouldn't look too out of place in the Northern Premier League, one shithouse baldy thug.

Another couple beers with Eddie and Jim. Woulda loved to have carried on drinking but Jimmy was on a curfew and Eddie is on a tag so that ended that plan.

We didn't play well, that's for sure, but if that's the type of football West Ham play week in-week out to get them to 4th or 5th in the league then I certainly don't expect them to be anywhere near the top 8 come May. Horrific to watch, it was like a cockney Stoke, possibly worse.

I've seen them this season before and they definitely played a lot better. It's probably as Shogs says that with a lot of their key players missing they just fell back to what they're familiar with.

Awful game to watch - we played to West Hams strengths a lot today allowing numerous high balls to Centre Forwards, they're a big strong side and we didn't match them outside of only one of out players who was happy to be as aggressive as they were,

The amount of times we gave the ball away was ridiculous and some of the performances of our players were very poor -

I'm surprised with the high amount of positive comments for some of the players cause for me the entire midfield outside of McCarthy's energy and desire to press was poor,

The defence was not winning the headers against a target man, they were giving the ball back to West Ham frequently and were not providing options when we did have the ball (Baines missed massively)

Eto'o helped change the game (by scoreline not by performance as i don't think for any real length of time we were dominant) by keeping hold of the ball and bringing others in to play - a major pick up for Lukaku by some fans but time for those that knock him picking up on the things he's doing well but unnoticed like making great runs that our midfielders aren't seeing - Barkley the culprit for not playing him through on a few occassions today

McCarthy MOM for me without him today we would have had nobody chasing players down even Barkley got caught up in his enthusiasm and followed his lead (only a couple of times needs to up his work rate massively if he ever wants to be a centre midfielder) after West Ham equalised he made a great run and had a shot from distance (not a great one) to drive the team forward he was covering for every midfielder look at how often he was closing players down on the right or left to assist Mirallas or Barkley,

Howard had a good game with him dealing with a fair few high balls that he went for and held giving us a bit of a breather,

I'd rather not go in to some of the poor individual performances and just say it was a bad team performance and i'd include the manager in that as we didn't cope well or adjust well to the game, i'd say we actually got a bit lucky
