Polite request: why the negativity about the Besic - Barkley midfield? I haven't seen much of Besic but I presumed he can play the defensive role, no?

Probably just concerns about both of their decision making and potential for lapses in concentration.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Well the inclusion of Mirallas and McGeady suggest that Baines and Coleman won't be as attacking as usual which means the of the CMs won't be as important defensively.

I am guessing this would or rather should be today. But good attacking team that and if we dominate then I would be expecting a lot of direct football from this team.

On the plus side, they've had 9 days to prepare for this match.

Besic is decent but he's still very much getting used to the pace of English football, Barkley on his day is great but when he's not he does give the ball away quite a lot.

Glad to see Barkley starting and Naismith and Stones returning from injury, but we're gonna be open as fuck with that team.

Yep, and hopefully QPR are too shite to exploit it. It might be totally fine but I can see the potential for slight worries.

Fuck me are we playing tonight or am I going to sit through a three hour demonstration of how bad liverpools defence are? Taking the piss now.

Anyway looking forward to seeing Besic v Barton. Also seeing barkley getting on the ball and moving forward with it from this position rather Than backwards or to the side. Think his running ability is nullified too much playing advanced and that slows the whole team down

Have you never seen MNF before? They always do a 40 minute tactical deconstruction of one of the weekend games. Then 15 for tonights footy.

Glad to see Naismith back, not the be all and end all but he'll add a bit of energy and create space with his running off the ball. He's also due a goal or two. :)
