Probably lost confidence a bit at PSG so decided going back to his former manager was a good idea.

Loyalty and friendship. Good things there

True. Don't get me wrong, good on Palace. It's nice to see class players not just going to the obvious teams, and out of step with the rest of football in a lot of ways.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

No, but he is a good English player who because of a clause in his contract isn't extortionately priced.  He's effectively replacing Milner.

Exactly. He might even be deluded enough to think he will, but he won't. He's obviously content enough with the money to overlook his football development.

Villa and Delph have had their pants pulled if that one comes off. Villa for putting an 8m buy out clause in the contract and Delph for going there in the first place, he's worth more than that with all the English players prices bollocks that goes on and he could probably go to a team where he'll actually get to play some football.

The likes of him and Sterling (assuming that's where he goes) are only going there to make up he home grown numbers, City are just thinking "fuck it, at least if we have to play them they're reasonable enough", neither are going to get regular games for them.
