Lots of sources are adamant Bayern have agreed a deal to sign Vidal for 40-45 million Euros.

Being reported here now. £28 million quid :(

At least that means Pogba is staying. Probably.

For now. They'll spend the money on a real number 10 supposedly. Would give them better balance but the midfield options look thin with both Pirlo and Vidal gone.

Benteke to Liverpool for 32.5 million big ones. He's good, but he's not that good.

Two injury prone strikers now, and Benteke seems a bit streaky as well. Rodgers won't see Christmas if he fucks this up, another summer of massive spending.

They still haven't (and never will) replace the player that single-handedly got them to the giddy heights of second the other season.

Kind of puts the £28m that we paid for Rom into perspective. Whilst £28m is a huge amount of money for Everton to spend on a single player, Liverpool paying £32.5m for Benteke, who IMO is not as good, just shows that we didn't do too badly after all.
Benteke is a decent player, don't get me wrong, but I think Lukaku is just that level above him in terms of quality.

Pretty grim that isn't it!and depressing as hell for Villa, they could well be in trouble next season

As for Delph it's hard not to imagine him playing less than 20 games next season for City, losing his place in the England squad then the next year barely getting a game before going out on loan back to Villa then signing for them again in the summer having wasted 2 seasons of his career

i wonder what has happened behind the scenes?

Don't understand why he'd put a release clause in and then, in the first place, not go.

I get all the wouldn't play arguments, but then who did he think would activate the clause that would be worth going to and he'd play? Spurs? Us...?

Still, funny after seeing Agbonlahor saying that as Delph could play for anyone it showed that Villa were a massive club.

More City desperation for home grown players, they've obviously gone back to him with a massive wage offer.

Probably a bit of that and the fact he sees all the better players around him leaving. And Villa don't have many of those.
