One man to blame and that's Alcaraz, do you honestly think Martinez told him to go out and duck every ball over the top. Jags was doing the job of two men out there

just to blame one player is out of order BS even though he was crap so was 75% of the team + manager

Hes telling us Howards been brilliant. He has to demonstate to someone he knows the issues. Hes certainly not demonstrating that to us

What's he supposed to do mid-transfer window? I think he knows the problems. he might be stubborn and that could be his downfall but he gave us an amazing season last year, one we haven't had for 10 years. This season has been horrible I agree. he is not the only one to blame though.

He ahs the rest of this season and until November to sort it out

Not so much surprised that we went out, losing football matches is part and parcel of football, you cant win em all.

But its HOW we went out that surprised me.

In fact, to be honest, I'm not, because a performance like that has been on the cards to really stamp home how tactically inept the man is.

I felt we had more winning mentality when we had smith ffs. Never had such a lack of belief in an Everton side ever.

There's not too many posters who are surprised we went out tonight. I half expected something like this and I wonder how many others did. I'm more surprised i'm not even disappointed. Anyway, QPR here we come.

Im surprised cos Kiev arent very good. Weve got 2 full backs worth 20M each, an England international centre half (and we cant defend at all) McCarthy is apparently worth a lot of money, Barkley is the best England player ever, Lukaku worth 30M plus to Wolfsburg. We have 6 or 7 who Champions League teams would pay massive amounts for and yet over a season we've barely better than Burnley. Maybe thats why we shouldnt be surprised but it does create a level of disbelief in what we see most weeks

Maybe we should have a vote on who is Lizz. Because i'm not.

Not having we were lucky in any of our European games this season. Can't simply use 'luck' to diminish the few positives Martinez has left.

In the same way you can't blame bad luck for defeats.

Not to too big an effect.

But spread across all our games this season you have to ask questions.

Wolfsburg and Young Boys played open games that suited us down to the ground.

Tbh like, I can't even think about the QPR game. I feel like hurting an innocent animal. And that's their fault for making me like that.

Not suggesting hes the only 1 to blame. Just that its a massive worry that Martinez wants to tell us hes been good. Is he daft?? Does he think we are?? Its a baffling comment by him.

If Alcaraz "has" to play then you shift your tactics to reduce his lack of pace being exposed.

It's almost a negative image of our attacking play throughtout the season which hasn't suited Lukaku, Barkley, Mirallas etc.

I wouldn't say 75% necessarily, I can think of 3-4 players including Alcaraz who were poor. Martinez does deserve some criticism though, I'd have made changes at half time when we were still in it rather than after the 4th

I'm a big fan of Howard.

I think he's worth sticking with etc but he's been shite this season.

Just admit this but say he's been working very hard on his weakness and he retains your trust.

Don't just try and bullshit your way through everything.

People can see he's been well below his normal standards - just say that. It doesn't mean that you think he's permanently been shite or will continue to be.

I won't say we were lucky to win the first leg, we did deserve it, but with the tactical set up which we had at with Kone and Osman on, I hated it to say the least. We got lucky with the penalty then and came out as victors.

Today, he just tried similar tactics in the second half and I don't think I have ever seen a team as narrow as ours with barely anyone who could help whip some crosses for so many people in the centre.

I don't think as a manager, Martinez has learnt anything as a manager. He was stubborn last season and has been this season too. His obsession with Barry is very similar to Moyes' obsession with Neville.

Anyways, the way we have played the whole season, I think an extended run in Europe would have just masked his deficiencies. I think he has been poor as a manager, and I think he needs to go for it.
