Christ.  About the only thing positive I can say about all the local Manure supporters in North Carolina is how much they all fucking hate Liverpool, at least.

God love them but do they insist on Liverpool v Manchester United as the only derby that matters?

Argh, hate these games, I just am never ever ever confident regardless of the form either of us are in.

I still think we have a slight mental block playing them.

As always, just cant wait till its done and dusted, just get it over with, hope we win.

I honestly don't think we have that mental block now. The players they've lost over the last few seasons has finally got rid of that.

I'm more worried of us being billed as favorites going into the match.....recipe for disaster that.....we'll crumble under the pressure

The key is to never let them get that far into the conversation.

I think I would cry you know.
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

As someone has already said, I don't care how we win.... Win ugly, lucky ... who cares, just win.

Better put a bet on. My brother had a dream someone would be 3-0 up ht last season and managed to turn £10 into 1000

Surely this is the year where we really turn up and assert ourselves in this game? Isn't it?....lads?

They are objectively fairly shite all over the pitch. We have better players in the majority of positions. We look more like a team.

Like others, I still having the nagging doubts and the worries that they'll somehow find a way again. Either way, I won't enjoy the game and I never do. It's far too stressful.

No, we're going to beat them. We're better than them, and our players are ready to move beyond the inferiority complex we've had. I'm convinced.

Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Daniel Sturridge. Their only genuinely class player is fit again. He will take over the Gerrard derby mantle for them from now on.
