Back page of The Times tomorrow.

A consortium has a 6 week exclusivity deal in which they analyse our finances then make a decision about completing a takeover.

This seems to be the first concrete sign that a takeover could be imminent.

For a minute, I thought Everton were going to take over the US for $200 million.

Well it's not the mail, the sun, or the mirror, so I'd say it's the most legit report yet.

Pinch of salt being taken as always, though.

Apparently this Moores chap owned the San Diego Padres. Now I know they're shite but how are they run? Could be an insight into what they'd have planned for us....if this does indeed go anywhere.

I read somewhere the Chang owner guy Chaoren Sirvivadhabhakri (spelt wrong) was considering a takeover and was hoping for that as it would be a change. He's worth 10 billion apparently. Probably just another false yarn.

No doubt he'll be bring Yarmalenko in then?

Be a bit shit having to fly to San Diego to watch Everton play though. Well, not as bad for me at least.
