Imagine if their first order of business was to strap Howard to a rocket and send him to the fucking moon.

Talking of Talksport, it would be horrible to owe Alan Brazil an apology. :)

No, fuck him. Besides, nobody could get an apology in sideways the way that fat cunt carries on.

Or make him president.

Or make him president.

Not possible. Unfortunately. He'd be a better bet than what's on offer.

So John Moores is trying to take over Everton?

"Moores left San Diego on bad terms with many Padres fans when he pocketed $200 million of the Padres' $800 million TV deal after the sale of the Padres was completed."

Red flag. I liked the SKC guys better.

The quote is from this article, about him marrying his mistress, which is (perhaps disturbingly) less of a red flag for me.

The cynic inside me can't decide if this is due to pressures on the manager/team or the forthcoming transfer window

Neither. It's half season ticket time.

Maybe we should be taking this a bit more seriously because it's not The Sun but let's be real, for half of that money you couldn't even get 3 of Evertons' best players.

Ha...yeah but we really only need one.

Not going to disagree with that. Proportion was lost long ago.

I've heard Rory Smith hint at this a few times over the last few months. I think it is a go-er and if it's not this consortium, it will be another one. The last group we were linked with also hinted that there were other parties interested. Rory Smith is a big Liverpool fan by the way.

The club is clearly ready to be sold, and unlike a number of years ago, there does seem to be a number of serious buyers ready to step in. The TV money seems to have given investors that additional security.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Be a bit shit having to fly to San Diego to watch Everton play though. Well, not as bad for me at least.

Only 3 hr flight for me. Might just have to get a condo there. Love the place.
