The absolute definition to panic but that.

They'll still conceded shit loads of goals regardless of who they have at the back.

Spitting image of a Bash Street Kid will do that to a feller. Specially if you can't get a game for Klopp's team.

Looks like they've got Van Djik.

Good signing for them tbh.

Not sure he's a world beater to be honest.

He's clearly got plenty of that familiar Dutch 'confidence'.

He will definitely improve them unfortunately, though.

Can't be right that, Mourinho says it's only Man City that spend striker money on defenders.

Southampton have made an absolute cunt of them over the last few years.

What's it actually going to buy them? They'll still be guilty of kamikaze defending, it wouldn't matter if Franco Baresi in his prime was back there. They've still got two awful keepers. City should go 20 points clear of them tonight and they will strengthen further in the near future, so winning the league is completely off the table for the forseeable. I very much doubt they'll overtake Chelsea or Utd, and both those clubs will invest further.

So in effect it might give them a slightly better chance of holding off Spurs and Arsenal for 4th, and Spurs are coming into some right form, so I'm not even sure about that.

Couldn't be less concerned or bothered by it tbh.

Still got 2 calamity keepers, no fullbacks and this is surely funded by Coutinhos immenent move to Barca, it'll strengthen them but not significantly.

City are still miles ahead of everyone, United, Chelsea and arguably Spurs still the main contenders, Liverpool and Arsenal still fighting it out for the scraps, then hopefully us, changes nothing ultimately.

Can see him doing a knee ligament in his first game.

And how much money have they given Southampton in the last few years. Must be 200M or so.

Decent player and an upgrade on what they've got. But, as mentioned, Coutinho is probably funding the purchase.
