He must have got a few grass burns as well with the way he celebrated his goals.

The last captain to win the European Cup the season after winning the World Cup was Franz Beckenbauer - let's hope that Hugo Lloris emulates that tomorrow.

Just braved a pint in my local, red said "can't wait to hear the reds at the match, the Bernabau will be the noisiest it's ever been"

Probably expecting Gerrard to lift the trophy if they win and Rush to be the match winner.

BBC breakfast talking about Britain's got Talent. They even mentioned that the old bugger who won, (me Grandad can sing better) was wearing red just like Liverpool!!!!!

It is this continual 'falling over themselves' to mention them or link to them in the media that makes me switch off. I have thought this for a long time but the standard of people that are employed in the media has never been poorer.

Had to tell another so-called Liverpool fan this morning that they are not the pride of Europe as they lost that right after Heysel - got the usual  'bitter' comment.

Are they going to ignore all his other references to the wind then?

At some point they will deny that he ever said it and that it is fake news.

So 'Announce Fekir' is old news and they will inundate his twitter feed with 'Announce Mbappe'.
