I don't see in that that he has said he wants reassurance that he will be the number one, he just wants to know if he will be offered a new contract because he only has a year left to run, nothing wrong with that ?

Surely he could go to koeman and say offer me a new deal by the final game of the season or I'm leaving this summer...

Of course that's the reverse situation of Barkley but he simply doesn't have the confidence to try that, I think he would be happy to just get a three year and be the no.2, with Europe and cup games he will get his chances.

I'll settle for that if it means he isnt number 1 during that period!

I don't want him as a number 2 as that will mean he's one step away from being number 1, and that's far too close.

Right, so what is your ideal scenario, Pickford, Hart and  Schmeichel ?

Hart could make a complete show of football bleepers with his season at Torino. Wouldn't want him anywhere near the dressing room, gets himself too worked up and would just annoy everyone.

I'll be honest, I'll miss the totally unique way in which he pulls of saves with his face.

I thought at first he was useless then i started to warm to him as he got some more games under his belt, however since that spurs away game I've lost all confidence in him again, makes me nervous watching him, I'm sure our defenders must feel the same too

Think he does a lot of really good things but then does something which looks ridiculously amateur.

Not good enough to be a number one keeper and not solid enough to be a number 2 Keeper.

Stekelenberg just isn't good enough for either.

Would be happy to see both go.
