Why would a pavement be needed on that side of the road though? It's unused

So there’s a a clear distinction between the massive walls and entrances of the docks and a major thoroughfare?
There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

...............there already is a pavement along there it's being widened and upgraded as part of a scheme to improve roads in the area. I've biked along there a few times it's pretty rough in parts.

<<  Phase 1: Leeds Street to Blackstone Street – Road widening phase (completed by spring 2018)
• Phase 2: Bankhall Street to Millers Bridge – Road widening phase (starting October 2017)
• Phase 3: Regent Road from Paisley Street to Nelson Street – New pavement/Resurfacing and cycleway provision phase (starting late October 2017)
• Phase 4: Boundary Street to Everton View – Upgrade of Traffic Signalised junctions and Street lighting with associated resurfacing (starting spring 2018)

Expected to finish by Summer 2019, the works are part of Liverpool City Council’s wider £250m Better Roads programme to improve the city’s road infrastructure and will be complemented by the creation of two new £20m waterfront link roads at the city centre end of the A565, which is being built to support a proposed new Cruise passenger facility.>>  (from Liverpool Express)

So you won't even believe it when it's getting built?!

Yeah I wouldn’t worry about that mate
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

So this is what a large entertainment venue built in a former docks area looks like. They kept the aesthetic of the other buildings well. Would love it if our new ground was a bit like this

Anderson answering some questions in today's echo

https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/joe-anderson-explains-exactly-councils-14944087.amp?__twitter_impression=true
..........................are we going to get this loan through cabinet while Joe is still in charge ? There was some talk of him losing his position which would be a worry as he is our main proponent. I think he has 2 years left as mayor though. I don't see EFC putting in a planning application until /unless  the loan is approved.
