The Blue 3/4 of Liverpool

I think I will actually cry when we see the stadium actually, physically, going up for REAL, after all our broken promises and exaggerations and general bullshit over the years. It is going to be amazing - the location of it, just makes it unreal. Got a tear in my eye now just thinking about it, because its going to be so exciting and our so, so deserving fans will be so proud!

Fuck it, GROUP HUG!

Commonwealth games are off.

I imagine this is now going to gather pace.

Will the loss of the CG have an impact on the regeneration of the docks area or was that going ahead despite the potential of hosting the games?

Pretty sure the regeneration plans where already in place before the CG were even considered.

Think it will go ahead anyways.

The tobacco warehouse has just started the process of a massive development and I suspect we'll start to see a lot more once the ground is announced

Fair enough. Obviously not being from the area I haven't really followed the bid or it's make up

Good.

Fuck it being 'the former Commonwealth games stadium that Everton then moved into' as that's how some would see it regardless of how much of it was funded by us.

I'm gutted about the commenwealth games myself.

I'm gutted cos I'd have loved to have had a major sporting event on the doorstep and it would have been good for the city but I'm also like bd too

Simply simply lovely

Bad news for the city, would have been great to have the games here. Silver lining is the fact that this is the end to the running track debate. Can't wait to see the first CGIs of BMD.

Is this decision gonna be carried over for the 2026 games? I thought Liverpool were interested in hosting them too.

Birmingham have only been put forward for it.

So they may not still get it
