............this surely would have been the case at B-M but for the fact that Moshiri part-owns the Liver Building .
Yes , and may well happen but that’s four years away .

A lack of money might excuse the initial build/low capacity.

My understanding is that it wasn't built/designed in such a way that future expansion was factored into the designs though. That's not something that money excuses really.

Well to an extent if you are designing and building to a limited budget that may well prevent an option to increase capacity at a later stage, what would you have done in PE, design a two tier stand and just build the one tier that you could afford to finance at the time ? That would have resulted in much lower capacity than we have now.

"someone" said we didn't deserve a bigger stand. The stand build itself was entirely funded by the grants from the football league following the move to all-seater stadiums.

Everton could have put money towards a bigger stand but the fans didn't deserve it apparently

Curious now, who was that “someone”  Johnson ?

I've always wondered, why are they called STANDS when you can only SIT in them????

Because the upper tier was built on stands.

..............used to love the teleprinter ,especially when it got stuck and whirred away for what seemed like ages. And Colemanballs .

Used to love it when they put the half time score boards out , the suspense when they laid the first board against the wall then waiting for the second one.
